Math should be presented to kids at a time that is natural and age-appropriate for them. Here is a list of mathematical concepts that could be presented to children between the ages of zero and five:

  1. Counting: Young children can begin to learn how to count items from an early age. Toys, fingers, toes, and other items they encounter regularly can all be used for this purpose.
  2. Sorting and categorizing: Children can learn to sort and categorize items by color, shape, size, and other characteristics. This aids in the growth of vital capacities for analysis and resolution of problems.
  3. Patterns: Recognizing and making their own patterns is a skill that may be taught to kids from a young age. One way to do this is to look for and recognize recurring themes in their daily routines, such as the kind of food they eat or the clothes they wear.
  4. Measuring: Preschoolers can begin learning about length and weight and other common units of measurement. This may require the use of conventional measuring implements like rulers and scales.
  5. Shapes: Recognizing and naming common shapes like squares, rectangles, and triangles is a skill that may be taught to kids from a young age. One way to do this is to actively search for shapes everywhere they go.

Keep in mind that each child is an individual with their own unique learning style and pace. It's also crucial to provide kids plenty of opportunities to learn and play with numbers in different contexts.
