The Importance of Language Routine

Habits matter when raising multilingual kids. Avoid the hustle of being overwhelmed by creating a language routine in your house.

1️⃣You may want to stick to one of the routines when you use different languages at different times of the day, or in different situations, for instance, your native language only in the mornings, and English at night. One language at home, another in public.  Pick something that works for you.

2️⃣Stay consistent. Consistency is what drives the whole thing when you run out of motivation.

3️⃣ Allocate equal time to each language. For bilingual it's probably 50/50, for trilinguals 30/30/30, for 4linguals 25/25/25/25
(However, beware ❌ that spending less than 30% of the time on one language does not lead to proficient acquisition ❌ )

4️⃣ Finally, QUALITY time leads to more significant results rather than quantity. 50%-30% - are quite abstract, more critical are the engagement and fulfillment from the process
